So I thought let’s give a try and then search more that so I found E Kalyan Bihar Scholarship.
Honestly I was not very hopeful in the beginning but I did the process step by step and it worked for me.

What is this scholarship is all about?
Let me explain it in my own words:
The Bihar government has started different types of scholarship schemes through e Kalyan portal to support students like us. The students who belong to SC, ST, OBC categories and are studying after 10th class. The primary objective of this is scholarship scheme is to provide a tuition fees, hostel charges and other education-related expenses.
It is not loan, there is no need to return it it’s your right if you qualify.
Who can apply?
It is very important to check eligibility requirements as per Bihar government guidelines.
- You must be from Bihar state, and for this domicile proof required.
- Candidate belong to schedule caste schedule tribe or other backward category.
- You must be studying in inter, graduation, PG, or a professional course.
- Your family income should be below to 2.5 lakh for SC/ST and OBC 1.5 lakh per year.
- Candidate must have pass the last exam and currently enrolled in valid institution.
How I Applied for e Kalyan Scholarship Bihar 2025?
Follow the steps mentioned below:
- Step 1: Open the official website, only visit https://ekalyan.bih.nic.in.
- Step 2: On the home page you need to select and register as a new student. I click down post matric scholarship (SC/ST/OBC) then selected new registration.
- Step 3: Now you need to provide your basic details like me Aadhaar number mobile number email address. After this you will get user id and password.
- Step 4: Login with the help of user id and password and start filling the form.
- Step 5: Provide your personal details, college, course, caste and income details, bank account detail.
- Step 6: I double checked everything before moving ahead.
- Step 7: Upload all the divide of comments. Make sure your documents are clear, many students get rejected just because of poor image quality.
- Step 8: At last you need to click on final Summit option. After this you didn’t to download application acknowledgement slip and take a printout.

- Income certificate (from block office)
- Bonafide certificate from my college
- Aadhaar card
- Previous year’s mark sheet

How I Tracked My Scholarship Status
If you have submitted your application then you might be curious to know about application status.
- Logged into the E-Kalyan portal every few days.
- Click on track application status.
- Application ID number.
- Then you will get a different types of status like
- application submitted
- Send to college for verification
- District welfare officer approval
- Fund Sanctioned
- Payment process to bank
In my case it took 40 days from my application to money being credited.

I Got the Money! Here’s What Happened
One day I got a SMS from the bank which stated that:
- Rs 5,200 creditor into your bank account from E-Kalyan bihar.
- This moment is very special in my life that money helped me a lot to pay my hostel rent, pay the book.
